CALGARY OILFIELD BEST BALL 2007

The COBB committee has decided that it is time for a re-evaluation of the league and present format.  The COBB tournament has operated for ten years and grown from a 64 team format to today’s 128 teams.  As we look back fondly, we would like to thank every participant for their involvement and we also hope that everyone was treated fairly.  The initial motive for the format was to provide a premium venue for sales folks and operators to meet new people and grow their personal network.  The competition is always an insight into the people who work around you. 

We on the committee are proud of this small legacy and would like to preserve the COBB name and Logo for ourselves in the event that we may revive it from time to time in the future.  With the legacy has come a small but worthwhile amount of funds in the area of $3000 dollars. Previously, this money was used for incidentals to get the tournament up and running in the spring. We have opted to donate this remaining money to charity. The charity we have selected is the Tom Baker Cancer Clinic. You may all take pride in the fact that you will have played a small part in this contribution.
